Budatín Castle, November 2005
Budatín Castle in the Budatín district: a moated castle on the north bank of the Waag, which was built after 1545 around a Gothic watchtower from the 13th century. The tower was used as a customs post for a long time. The castle was last renovated in the classicist style in 1849–1923. Today the castle houses a museum, the permanent exhibition of which is dedicated to the wire tie trade.
