The path to the waterfall is great, but also strenuous. There is a section with a decent incline in between.
You are rewarded with a great waterfall and pool that is great for swimming in. The water is of course very cold. :)
It is best to set off early, then you have the waterfall to yourself. More people come in the afternoon. The starting point is easy to reach via Dion, drive right to the top, you can park on the street by the small chapel. There are also two small waterfalls with pools just around the corner.

On the way from Orlias Waterfall to Red Rock Waterfall, there is a bench on the side for a little break. Opposite, slightly off to the side, there is a drinking fountain for refilling water bottles. Since the Olympus Marathon is taking place on 26.6.2026 from Dion to Litochoro over the Olympic Mountains, the trail had been freshly marked and this drinking fountain had been designated as a refreshment point.

Holiday in Greece and the classic travel guide says that the Orleans and Red Waterfalls are nearby. So we get in the rental car and drive there. Without any planning and Komoot. I only use it on site to record the tour.
