Today we dealt with two Irish legends at once: the weather and the island's most famous monastic settlement. I liked the latter better though. This morning we went to Glendalough. From the car park we first walked around the lower lake, then up to the waterfall. After the descent we had a wonderful view of the lower lake, surrounded by mountain gorges. All around us were film sets, e.g. Braveheart.
