January 10, 2024,Weg der Hoffnung und der Stille
In wonderful winter weather, our destination today was the “Quellenreich Regional Park”, where we walked the “Path of Hope and Silence” circular route near Oberried.
The hiking trail took us through the Jura landscape between Oberried and Litzlohe, first in a valley along the Sindlbach with some bubbling karst springs, later powerful and very striking limestone rock formations shaped the …

On today's May Day holiday, we were drawn to the path of hope and silence near Oberried. We passed the imposing and widely visible Luderfelsen with its single-family cave to the picturesque Bachfelsen and through the beautiful Maienwald forest. I also really liked the path along the rushing Sindelbach, which has its source there.

Showing Translation

In glorious spring weather, today's tour first led to the impressive Bachfelsen near Oberried, then to the no less great Luderfelsen with its small cave. A worthwhile excursion to striking Jura rock formations.

Showing Translation

The rocks near Oberried were carved out by erosion from the sponge reefs of the Jurassic sea that existed 200 million years ago.
Some of the rocks were cleared by the Neumarkt landscape conservation association with local farmers.
(see leaflet Quellenreich "Path of Hope and Silence")

The path of silence and hope is a beautiful, scenic path past water, rocks and fields.🥰 The landscape really exudes peace. It is a great place to relax.
