From the small Thuringian town of Themar, we took a beautiful path to the Feldstein. 🥾🥾The basalt of the Hinterer Feldstein there features five- and six-sided columns and is a classic example of the pinnate or pillar-like arrangement of columns that occurs in the near-surface vent area of a volcano.
A true work of natural art.🪨🪨🪨

Today the 🌕 should rise directly behind the field stone. We wanted to take a look at it and capture it photographically.
The ☀️ rarely got through until the afternoon. The 🌕 had it a little easier in the evenings and kept finding gaps between the ☁️.
That was enough for us to take some nice photos.
