Eriskircher Ried Nature Reserve

Highlight (Segment) • Natural

Thousands of the otherwise rare Siberian irises color the meadows of the Eriskircher Ried blue-violet from mid-May to mid-June, the extent of the blooming is unique in Europe. The nature reserve with its alluvial forests and meadows between the mouths of Schussen and Rotach is the largest on the northern shore of the lake. Visitors can observe waterfowl from two platforms on the lake shore. Educational trails lead through the Ried.
