Great Wasserstein Rock Shelter

Highlight • Cave

The large water stone is a dolomite massif with two rock groups and a cave system. In the northern area there is a smaller cave system with about ten meters high water stone abri, which can be reached via stairs. Definitely worth seeing rock overhang or rock roof and a popular photo motif. The Ice Age shrew (Sorex minutissimus) was found near the overhang. This tour is beautiful. Rocks and caves again and again and all of this practically on our doorstep!
It was great in January because it was very bright and sunny; good paths for walking.
