Did a tour in the vicinity today and followed the traces of the history of the mine; it also went along the Frankenwaldsteigla "Im Kohlenwald" and on the Burgenweg. Very interesting hike; I didn't realize there were so many coal mines in our area.

However, the hike started at the Maxschacht and a short section was chosen differently at the Katharinen-Zeche. Many details of the mining tradition can still be seen at the Katharinen-Zeche.
