Daniel Fir

Highlight • Natural Monument

This imposing fir tree stands ten meters from the actual hiking trail. Right next to it is a second one with almost the same dimensions.
It took us five people to encircle the trunk.

Barefoot Trail on the Schlühüwanapfad Erlenhausen

Highlight • Trail

Again, there is a barefoot path with all sorts of more or less sole soles irritating. Above all, it is fun and exciting to watch others doing something odd to master the challenge. 😸

After hurricane Lothar devastated a large part of this forest in 1999 and left heaps of tree trunks and roots torn from the ground, a virtue was made out of necessity and the concept for this great adventure trail was developed. Great sculptures were carved out of the wood lying around. In addition, a barefoot path was created. In case you are wondering what the naming of this park is all about: Schlühüwanapark is made up of the Schlüchtsee-Hüsli-Wald-Naturpark. And you can experience all of this here too. Starting with the Scalp Path, on which there is a lot to discover, especially for children.
