Wilhelm Heinrich Niemeyer was born on 2 November 1836 in Oberkirchen (Rinteln district). He attended from 1864 the Gymansium in the county seat Rinteln and received there on 9 April 1868 Maturitätszeugnis. On April 30, 1868 he was enrolled at the University of Marburg as a student of theology. In 1870 he passed the Tentamen there. On November 19, 1876 Niemeyer was transferred to the parish Ronshausen in the class Rotenburg. There he worked until at least 1916.

The Wildecker Forest, the island of love, the obelisk and the ruins of Blumenstein were our destination today. This turned into a 15 km hike with the best weather and excellent food.😉
