Today we discovered a hiking trail we hadn't yet explored; it was about a five-kilometer loop around Doktorsee (Doctor Lake). The route was easy and flat, offering beautiful views of the lakes, the Weser River, and the Weser Hills.

In the early 1960s, two lakes were created by dredging gravel and sand, separated by a narrow isthmus.
