Very nice tour up to the Schauinsland vantage point at 1284m altitude. Then it's almost 1000hm downhill to Staufen on trails with a great panorama. The last section, the Etzenbach Trail, is tough again (a short carrying section was too rocky and steep for me). Possibility to stop at Gasthaus Gießhübel, highly recommended.
