Some parts are a bit slippery due to wet moss and roots. Sturdy footwear and/or hiking poles are recommended. The rest area with a bench at Bornstein is somewhat hidden.

Rarely have we seen such a "green" forest, everything full of mosses and other ground cover. We more or less followed the signposted hiking trails, sometimes it went straight through the forest without paths; there are actually enough paths, but they are not shown on Komoot or OpenStreetMap.
