Evangelical Church in Pszczyna

Efforts to build an evangelical church in Pszczyna began in 1709.
The original church for the Evangelical commune in Pszczyna was built in the years 1743 - 1746 from the foundation of Erdmann Promnitz according to the design of the Promnitz court architect - Christian Jahne, with the participation of Jerzy Prisch, a carpenter. In 1746 consecrated. There is a school and a teacher's apartment next to the church.
In 1860, the tower was extended, while introducing minor architectural changes. In 1896, a new organ was founded.
In 1905 the church burned down. The reconstruction, which lasted until 1907, was managed by the architect Scheinnert (who immediately took up the reconstruction of the Książ castle). In this way, a neo-baroque church building was created, which is the largest room in the city.

The Ducal Stables are located near Pszczyna Castle, with the first historical record of stables dating back to 1629 in the Pszczyna land register.

The current stable complex was built in the second half of the 19th century during the Hochberg era, designed by architect Olivier Pavel. The complex consists of a carriage house built in 1864, stables with a saddlery constructed in 1866-1867, a riding arena begun in 1869, and brick garages for nine ducal automobiles erected between 1904 and 1910.

After the dangerous fire of the city in 1622, the temple was rebuilt by Jerzy Walentyn Meyer from Moravian Ostrava. Reconstruction after the fire, completed in 1754, was conducted this time under the supervision of the Promnitz court architect, Christian Jähne. Castle in Pszczyna - former magnate residence in Pszczyna (German: Pless) in Upper Silesia, which was built on the site of a defensive Gothic castle from the beginning of the 15th century, probably built on the site of an earlier fortification. In the years 1548–1765 it belonged to the Silesian family of Promnitz, 1765–1847 to the princes Anhalt-Köthen-Pless, and from 1847 to the princes Hochberg von Pless from Książ. In the years 1870–1876, they rebuilt the castle, as a result of which it obtained its present architectural shape in the neo-baroque style.
