Komarno, two churches

The small town of Komarno (Kammerswaldau) is located eleven kilometers east of Jelenia Góra. In the center of the village, in the immediate vicinity of the old Catholic church from the 17th century, is the octagonal ruin of the Protestant prayer house. The prayer house was consecrated in 1772 after the evangelicals received permission to build houses. The hanging of the church bell is a curious detail. For static reasons, it could not be hung in the prayer house, but was installed in the steeple of the Catholic Church with kind permission. The ruins of the old manor can still be seen nearby.
