The current post-Bernardine church is a late Renaissance building on a cruciform plan with a dome at the crossing of the naves and was built between 1619 and 1639.
The early Baroque main altar dates from 1642. Its most valuable element is the painting "The Deposition" by the Flemish painter Artus Wolffort from the years 1629 or 1639.
