I managed to squeeze in a bit of a fitness workout on my e-trekking bike and took a short trip to Ilbenstadt. The Nidda cycle path is ideal, as it's completely paved and therefore allows for a fairly high speed – if you're fit enough 🤔😉🙈 – even though the asphalt was wet and dirty in places.

I repeated last Tuesday's tour in beautiful weather. This time, however, there were no flooding issues, meaning the underpass in Karben on Bahnhofstraße was open again. Only a few wet patches hinted at the flooding. Otherwise, the ride was good; only the last few kilometers before Ilbenstadt were muddy with clumps of earth, but these were manageable.
