Hoopte–Zollenspieker Ferry

Highlight • Structure

Good break point for all driving routes in the area. In Hopte there are one or two restaurants for a break before a crossing. Best herring rolls and homemade fish cakes from Grubes Fischerstube. There are also drinks there.

After a long time cycled again.
Although the route is almost flat, it felt like half of it was uphill due to the strong headwind ;-)

Yes, I found this wonderful stone in the parking lot in Wuhlenburg. The first checkered lilies are already visible. Nature is so beautiful. It's worth it.

I took advantage of the time this morning before the extreme heat sets in. I was on my way back to Eckermann Park; the dahlias are already very beautiful there. We're having our dahlia festival there at the beginning of September...on the grounds of the State Garden Show...

Achterdeich, Kreuzdeich, Hoopter Elbdeich, Stöckter Deich - each one prettier than the other 🌹🌻🪻🥀🪷 - and water everywhere 💧: the Elbe, the Ilmenau and small lakes and ponds. Add to that bright sunshine 🌞, a fresh wind 💨 and the best company 🚴 - perfect 🤩

Today we left at the Hoopter ferry terminal. The first part of the route is on the main road, but only up to Fliesenberg. After that come side streets and old dike streets. Especially the aft dike is very nice. An interesting stop is the "Seevengeti", a small beautiful biotope.
