The fire pit, the silver pond and the nature myths trail are absolutely worth seeing, lovingly and imaginatively laid out. The stamp point for the Harz hiking badge is located just above the pond.

Finally back home and finally feeling the Harz Mountains again! How I've missed the Harz forests and mountains! And of course, we've also continued working on our stamp hunt.

Tip: tberg.de/unsere-herausforderung-fuer-die-harzer-wandernadel

We start our current tour at the Königskrug near St. Andreasberg. During our hike, we collect three Harz Hiking Badge stamps.

Showing Translation

Highlights of the tour are the Hahnenklee cliffs and the idyllically situated Silberteich.
Unfortunately, the Rinderstall inn is only open Mon-Fri, there is a self-service machine at the weekend.

Showing Translation

At the weekend you need small change or bills for the self-service machines (snacks, drinks, coffee) in the cattle barn

Today we had to do a fairly short loop in the national park. We parked at Königskrug and off we went. The first destination was HWN 075 - Hahnenkleeklippen. The stamp box is located about 250 meters from the cliff in a shelter. From the cliffs you have a fantastic view down into the valley.

After a class reunion in Braunlage, almost all the participants disappeared quickly in the morning. Since I'm already here, I'm taking advantage of it for a short hike.
The weather was perfect, and the Hahnenkleeklippen (cliffs) high above the Oder Valley were chosen. The hike included the Silberteich pond and the "Rinderstall" forest inn; this is part of the route …

Despite numerous closures due to the still raging forest fire, we were on the road again today.

In the most beautiful sunshine ☀️ we went to the Hahneklee cliffs and to the cattle barn, our 200 stamp 🥳🥳... We then went back to the car via the nature myth path where we encountered numerous wolves.

Showing Translation

Between dark clouds, fog and sunshine I started from Braunlage to the Hahnenklee cliffs.

The weather looked really gloomy in places today and unfortunately we were hit by rain on the last 2 km.

But the view beforehand from the Hahnenklee cliffs was great.
