Wiek Chalk Bridge

Highlight • Bridge

Interesting technical monument, built after the First World War. Never used, chalk from a quarry in Puttgarten was supposed to be loaded here using a narrow-gauge railway. Accessible, great view of the harbor!

From Juliusruh with a bloody headwind to the Vittower ferry, then relaxed cruising along the great Wieker Bodden and easy return. Important: Fish 'n chips in the Hafenperle!☝🏼

After a week of sailing on the IJsselmeer, now on a discovery tour on Rügen.😊

Sitting in Wiek am Hafen at the Fischkoop eat a fish roll and drink a beer and let your soul dangle, that's vacation. You can forget everything around here

Today I did a small, unspectacular bike tour on the Wittow peninsula of Rügen, where I was really lucky with the weather. With a strong NE wind, a thunderstorm suddenly approached from the SW, which I was able to avoid with some luck and skill. This means our pre-season tour for this year is also over again.

Showing Translation

The route along the Bodden from Wiek to the ferry is currently being renovated and is therefore actually closed.
