Very long loop. Also very beautiful. What is a bit annoying: the road is quite close and sometimes noisy.

September 24, 2023,Zum Walnussfest nach Ernst
A sunny day should be waiting for us today. And so it was. After a foggy morning, the sun came out in the morning. Today we were properly dressed and didn't have to be cold. From Mesenich we went to Ernst on the opposite side. We saw advertising for a walnut market there yesterday. Was very promising. We wanted to …

The warm sun this afternoon has lessened a bit, so it's time to take a short bike ride at the beginning of the evening.
On to Beilstein. On arrival, the pound at Beilstein appears to be already closed 😞
That's bad luck for us.
Now there are 2 options:
- cycle the same way back
- by cycling to the …

On the last day of vacation we cycled from Senheim to Cochem and back. We already knew the route from the Moselle Cycle Path 2019. Many pretty little towns are lined up along the river. Zell did it to us the most.

The water level of the Moselle is still quite high. Some trees 🌳 still have wet feet. The tarred bike paths are free and cleared again.
In Cochem and Beilstein we had to push our bikes for a while because of the many visitors.

In the heat we preferred not to drive so far, swimming in the Moselle felt really good

Today only a short tour to Cochem. The Moselle cycle path is really easy to ride, no matter which side of the river. Always new beautiful impressions.

Nice round trip from Cochem to Senheim and back. You should only do the tour the other way round if you want to take a nice break in a cafe or bar right by the water on the way back. The better options are on the south side of the Moselle in the small towns right by the water.

Another enjoyable short bike ride today. Enjoying the special atmosphere of Metternich Castle with a wine spritzer in beautiful Beilstein. Highly recommended.
