After taking the train from Besançon to Montbéliard (1h), I cycled the last stretch of this trip to Buix, which is right after the border to Switzerland. What an amazing journey it was! I highly recommend cycling along the Isère, Rhône, Saône and Doubs. It's absolutely perfect for cycle touring!
