F-Alsace: On our way back to Germany we stopped in Alsace and looked at the huge Haut-Koenigsbourg near Orschwiller. We were lucky, the sun was shining and we had a wonderful view of the Rhine Valley and possibly even the Black Forest.
The castle was in ruins and Kaiser Wilhelm II had it rebuilt between 1900 and 1908.
