Trail to Marienbergalm

Highlight • Trail

The forest path up to the Marienbergjoch is sometimes very steep and stretches out considerably: quite a drag for organic bikers and, of course, extra fun for uphill fetishists XD ideal for e-bikes.

Today on the Mieminger Plateau up to Arzkasten and down to Nassereith. At the so-called Adlernest you have a great view over Nassereith and the Gurgltal. Even more impressive is the rock face opposite, where the climbers hang over the abyss, amazing! 😳

The chain needed replacing, so I went to Radsport Krug first. They changed it immediately, great service! 😀⛓️‍💥👍 In Arzkasten I decided that the weather would hold and continued towards Adlerhorst. Shortly before that I wanted to try a climb, but after a good start it turned out to be questionable. I didn't want to push, so I went down …

“Adlerhorst” is the name of the viewing platform above Nassereith, from which you have a great view of the rock face and the climbers opposite, but also of the town and the Gurgltal. Fine tour there over the Mieminger Plateau, then down to Nassereith and back up to the plateau with a final stop at the Moosalm.

The tour was planned as a cycle tour, but due to the nature of most of the paths (gravel, forest floor with roots, asphalt), wide tires with a grippy profile are clearly the better choice, so that this wonderfully varied tour is really fun - so we did that taken MTB. Starting at the Gerhardhof in Wildermieming, the tour initially …

Today I first brought the S-WORKS back to the bike shop, the next few days we'll talk about 💰💰💰... Then I switched to my current Epic. Great bike, 🤗 even though I might part with it. 😢 Once again I didn't have a goal, it came up along the way. So I finally ended up at the Adlerhorst 🦅 in …

After yesterday's storm, some paths were badly washed out today.

First up to Arzkasten. From the turnoff to the Marienbergalm, the trail continues along quieter paths. Among them is a fine trail to Nassereith, actually very easy, but today with slippery roots. From Nassereith, it's a steep climb back to the Mieminger Plateau. There's no one here either, just the …

I actually just wanted to go for a quick walk and do some shopping for tomorrow's holiday. But then @Walter Gabl came towards me, and it turned into a double-sized walk. Via Holzleiten, Nassereith, and Arzkasten to the SPAR in Obermieming. A bit of a detour. 😂👍🛒

Despite a short downpour, it was a very nice, demanding tour! 👍👍🚴‍♀️😎
