From the 1224 built cathedral are only ruins. The two towers have been renovated and are now used as showrooms. From the upper platform you have a nice view over the cathedral and the city.
The entrance fee is quite high at 7.50 GBP. If we had not had the Historic Scotland Explorer Pass, which already included the entrance, we would have saved the visit and looked at the grounds only from the outside. By the way, the Explorer Pass (visitbritainshop.com/germany/historic-scotland-explorer-pass/) is highly recommended if you are planning to visit several historic sites.

Knockando Hill Road Climb

The hill road that climbs up from Knockando in the south, over the pass between the Cross of Knockando (373m to the northeast) and Cairn of Ballindean (330m to the southwest) and down towards Dallas in the north. Knockando is at about 180m and the high point of the road tops out at 308m. It's a good climb or descent on a narrow but fairly quiet road.
