Highlight • Cafe

Brilliant stopover for coffee and cake. Also great selection of local ales.

View of St Mary's Church, Snettisham

Highlight • Historical Site

The spire of this magnificent church, is only over-topped by Norwich Cathedral, so it's certainly the tallest thing in the region. In fact, it's been used as a navigational marker by sailors in The Wash for hundreds of years.

Bircham Windmill

Highlight • Historical Site

Bircham Windmill is a spectacularly well-preserved working windmill that gives a real insight into how the mills would have looked 100 years ago. While this landscape would have housed hundreds of windmills very few are left today. Bircham is considered one of the best still remaining and is the only windmill in working order in this area that is still open to the public.

Bircham Stores Cafe

Highlight • Cafe

With racks for cycles and a welcoming attitude for those of us who 'clack' when we walk, the Bircham Country Store is worth a visit. Great coffee and a selection of cakes and savoury treats to keep even the hungriest riders going.

King's Avenue, Sandringham Estate

Highlight (Segment) • Viewpoint

Tree-lined avenues don't get much more majestic than this, as this one has certainly seen its fair share of Majesty. In the summer months, the trees provide wonderfully dappled shade as you coast, almost effortlessly, toward Sandringham Estate - a great way to finish a tour of the local area.

Nice to ride through the queens back garden. There is a punchy little climb in here somewhere as well.
