Broomhill Burrows Dune System

Broomhill Burrows is an extensive dune system that runs along the back of the stunning Freshwater West Beach. In times past, smugglers would hide goods in the dunes although today you're most likely to find sunbathers and sandcastles.

Take care if you fancy a dip in the sea here, the currents can be treacherous.

West Angle Bay Beach

A horseshoe shaped cove is tucked right inside West Angle Bay.
The sandy beach is narrow at high tide but at low tide, it reveals a long stretch of golden sand.

The northern end of the beach has rocks perfect for climbing and exploring and a cut through the cliffs leads to a secluded (if not quite secret) beach!

The sea off West Angle has strong currents. There is a fab cafe by the car park.
