Ling Fell Summit

Ling Fell boasts terrific views to the north west, overlooking Cockermouth. On a clear day you can even see the Galloway hills in Scotland! Ling Fell is one of two at the northern tip of Wainwright's North Western Fells. The other is Sale Fell.

This section takes some effort and determination. Climbing around the side of Ling Fell on a single track, there are some smallish rock boulders on the surface. If it had been raining this could be difficult to climb around, luckily it had been dry for a couple of weeks when I passed by

August 10, 2024,Flora & Fauna on the Sale Fell and Ling Fell Loop 🌿🌺🍃

Bagging wainwrights whilst taking in the flora and fauna, it was lovely to stop and look at everything, name the types of cloulds we could see and quiz one another on the names for everything 😊

September 20, 2023,Sale Fell and Ling Fell walk

An afternoon wander up these two low level Wainwrights between the rain showers. Very breezy on top! Great views in the sunny spells.
