Passeier Valley Road Through Riffian

Highlight • Cycleway

A fast route on good asphalt down to Merano. It's really fun to speed around the curves.

The views of the Passiria valley are very beautiful from this town. The descent of the Jaunfenpass on its west side is spectacular.

Giovo Pass (Jaufen Pass)

Highlight • Mountain Pass

At the top there is a solid apple strudel and coffee. Then a wonderful descent in both directions with mostly good asphalt. Be careful of the occasional holes in the surface.

The Jauffenpass is a nice challenge that is easy to drive: not too steep, you drive long in the shade and you are rewarded with a great view.

On the last day it was the turn of the Jaufenpass. I drove the secondary route, you can get to about half of the ascent without a car. But hard! Much steeper than the normal road. Not much traffic upstairs either. It was really great!

Pretty exhausting. Especially because the 1st section from St. Leonhard drove on partly steep farm roads. Up to St. Leonhard in the Passeier Valley Auroververkehr borderline. Uphill goes like this. Lots of motorcycles. Recommendation: With a gravel bike along the Passeier on mostly gravel roads to St. Leonhard. Wonderful 👍😎

Good alternative on the Jaufen. Fairly car-free up to about 1450hm. You know the rest

It is the better side to ride up, because there is a long alternative to the main road.
