Wooden bridge over the Schwartau

Highlight • Bridge

This route from Dänischburg to Lübeck is an insider route. You can start behind the Luv Center, where you start cycling after a little refreshment. The small bridge leads over the Schwartau, which branches off from the Trave here. The place "Alt Lübeck" near the bridge is particularly historically valuable. The city was founded a little later but slightly offset here at this point because the subsoil is too wet here. If you continue on this path, you can turn right at the next turn to Bad Schwartau, or you can continue straight ahead until you arrive in the Hanseatic city. A wonderful nature trail to the city center. This route is also ideal for driving from Lübeck to Travemünde. In Siems you can then drive through the forest in the direction of Brook to Travemünde. An ideal connection if you don't want to drive next to the road but want to experience a little nature

Dummersdorfer Ufer Nature Reserve

Highlight • Natural Monument

From the Skandinavienkai to the former Lübeck iron and steel works, a beautiful path leads almost always above the cliffs. Again and again there are fantastic views over the still wide Trave here. The 8-9 km are great to walk, but can also be done by bike, provided you are reasonably safe on the handlebars and have some strength in your legs.

What has almost been forgotten: there was once a combined land and sea airfield on the Priwall and on the Pötenitzer Wiek. It was once called the "Air Cross of the North". But that was back in the mid-1920s.

Incidentally, the Skandinavienkai is the largest port in Lübeck.

Wide and pleasant path to ride from Lübeck / Vorwerk towards Dänischburg to IKEA and the like and then on to Sereetz, Travemünde.
The path is also easy to ride with small children as it is fairly flat and wide enough. You don't need a mountain bike - a normal bike is no problem either. I would say you should be able to get through even with a racing bike (but I don't ride one!!). A bit "run up" by residents near the Teerhofinsel.
