St. Katharinen Church, Gelting

According to legend, the Geltinger church was initially built on the paddock Kirchenacker between Stenderup and Gundelsby. The decision for the location in Gelting was probably made by the Lord of the Gutgut. The year of the Geltinger church can not be determined. But it is believed that it originated shortly after 1300.

This makes them one of the younger of the landscape fishing. Its name comes from the church in honor of St. Catherine of Alexandria, who died a martyr's death at the beginning of the 4th century.
