June 2, 2023,2023 - Kestert-Runde Pulsbachklamm
Phew, today we went by car and train to a 3-hour break and then by train to Kestert. We will make up for the Bornich - Kestert hiking tour when the opportunity arises.
The short tour today showed us that we can probably continue hiking despite the accident, but the decision is not final yet.
What we can definitely recommend …

Initially, I could have walked along the Rhine from the Hotel Krone, but the place made it interesting. Of course I stayed on the path in the gorge, even if it is recorded differently.

You don't have to walk along the B 42 as prescribed, but you can walk parallel to the Rhine, which is much more idyllic.

Super nice tour on a super great day! You should have a certain level of surefootedness, as the path along the water is narrow and it goes down quite steeply in places!

This time not a bike tour, but a short hike in the beautiful village of Kestert. Through the small, impressive Pulsbach Gorge. To the Rhine heights in Oberkestert with fantastic views of the romantic Rhine Valley. Definitely worth it.

I started the hike at a fairly cool 11 degrees at the car park on the B42, before the entrance to the Pulsbachklamm.

A small stream meanders through the gorge and its splashing sounds and numerous small waterfalls create a rustic, idyllic atmosphere.
