Important: Behind Menz if you drive via Großwoltersdorf to Gransee:
After about 3 kms of driving on Berliner Straße you come to an intersection where it turns left to Zernikow and right to Dalgow. Take the road on the right (direction Dalgow) and then take the bike path 100m to the left! Nice and very relaxing bike path to Großwoltersdorf. This saves you from the traffic and the intense heat (in summer) on the busy Berlin street.

North Bay of Lake Stechlin

Highlight • Lake

It's no longer an insider tip when the weather is nice, but there are still many beautiful places.
The path from Neuglobsow along the water is a forest path with many stones and roots.

The Stechlin has excellent water quality and, at 70 metres, is the deepest lake in Brandenburg. It also became famous through Theodor Fontane's books. From the north bay you have a wonderful view over the large lake.
