This tour offers something for everyone. Urban flair in Strasbourg, small-town charm in Kehl, and plenty of scenery. Panoramic views over the dammed Rhine and a ride on the dike (almost like the North Sea). Technical structures (the Two Rivers Pass and the Gambsheim barrage). From Strasbourg, you cycle along excellent, well-maintained cycle paths on Euro Velo Route 15 to La Wantzenau. Continue along the Sentier de ILL, some of which are not suitable for cycling, to the Rhine crossing at Gambsheim/Freistett. The German Rhine Cycle Route takes you back to Kehl, partly along the Rhine embankment and on remote paths.
