The parish church of St. Margaretha was built in the late Gothic period at the end of the 15th century. It was redesigned several times: around 1760 it was converted to Baroque style, later the ceiling paintings were whitewashed and uncovered again a few generations later. In 1934 the nave was lengthened. The church received its current appearance after the last major renovation from 1978 to 1986, during which the evidence from over 500 years was created into a successful unity. During the exterior renovation, the valuable Gothic frieze from the time the church was built was uncovered, restored and supplemented.
