This is when Dirty Dancing was filmed, which is pretty cool. The lake itself lost most of it's water, but the lake loop is so pretty. The difficulty of this hike is not due to steepness, but because the entire trail is littered with largish rocks and roots, so is slow going and not for an easily turned ankle.
