Goethepunkt Via Ferrata

Highlight (Segment) • Climb

Even though it was uphill, the path to the Goethepunkt was just as beautiful as the view from the top. For me, the Goethepunkt is one of the most beautiful spots on the Lahnwanderweg. Don't miss it!

Off to the Westerwald.

What started out unspectacular turned into a highlight.

The tour started with a narrow path and an incline. When we reached the first ladder, there was joy. But then we were already at the summit cross with a great view. Since we always explore the surroundings a little, there is something to discover here that not …

If you want to test whether you can handle alpine terrain, this is the right route for you. There are real challenges here, including the path leading over a ridge.
Very varied, demanding with many beautifully situated picnic areas and numerous information boards. A path that we will surely repeat. Maybe extended by a few km. The distance was just …

The Lahn wine "Rose" ,
350 meters in altitude over almost 10 km,
Safety ropes and 4 ladders, which could also be conquered with my fear of heights!
Drizzle and heavy rain were our constant companions, but at the very end the sun showed up again for a moment.
10 demanding but beautiful hiking kilometers that I can only recommend!

Obernhof is located between Koblenz and Limburg a. d. Lahn and can be reached by RE in just under 40 minutes.

I have rarely experienced such a great hiking trail that offered me a mix of the Teufelsmauer, the Rheinsteig and the feeling of alpine climbing on this short stretch - a clear hiking recommendation 👍🏼🔝🤩.

Really nice tour. The path has been laid out really nicely and there are detours for people who don't like steeps or are afraid of heights.
Thanks Tessa for the tip.

What shoud that? The two-legged friends pack our backpacks and leave us two sables behind..... "These sinners" thought Bruno and Fiete...!!

Don't worry, the two were in good hands during this time. We thought about it for a while, but then we came to the conclusion that we shouldn't take our two furry friends with us on this tour, because …

The premium circular route begins in the wine-growing town of Obernhof, easily accessible with the Lahntalbahn. The approximately 11 km long and varied hiking trail offers steep paths and great views. It not only impressively connects the two wine towns of Obernhof and Weinnur - it unites wine, history and nature. Information boards provide information along the route about the …

I did the tour with Frisby Dalmatiner. With the ladders he had to find a way around it. Which was a bit difficult for him with the first ladder. Therefore only conditionally suitable for dogs 😉
