Circumnavigating the Ohra Dam is worthwhile at any time of the year. Since the circular route is largely asphalted, it is also suitable for muddy weather!

There are no places to stop for refreshments along the way, but there are many nice picnic options, often with a beautiful view of the dam.

The snow lured us outside again today, this tour had been planned for a while.
We started from the hiking car park (the parking ticket machine was out of order so a parking disc was enough) up to the dam, continuing along the water with great views. The paths were easy to walk with a light covering of snow, a …

A beautiful circular walk, with a stop at the beer garden and a foot bath in the Kneipp pool at the end.

Well, the time doesn't quite fit. We started at the parking lot at around 11:45 a.m. and were there again at around 3:45 p.m. Our average Speed was around 5 km / h. The photos are also a bit confused because I added some from the camera.

The circular trail around the Ohrlatal Dam entices with ever-changing views of the enormous expanse of water. Nestled in beautiful spruce forests, it's reminiscent of the Rocky Mountains. While the water level was quite low during our visit, the views were still breathtaking. Even in bad weather, the trails offer good grip, and one or two shelters are quickly reached.

Today I went around the Ohratalsperre. The weather was ideal for hiking. 🌞 It was a bit chilly in the shade and some of the side arms were still icy. But all in all it was a great walk. 💪👍
