Fairy Lochan, Glen Tanar

Highlight • Forest

Fairy Lochan is a great place for spotting wildlife, and is part of the Dragonfly Trail from Glen Tanar. Keep your eyes peeled for dragon flies, particularly the Northern Damselfly species.

Rest and Be Thankful Stone

Highlight • Monument

A nice spot for a rest on the Fungle Road singletrack route. There's a handy bench that I'm told used to have a view of the surrounding hills before the trees got big.

View of Birsemore Loch

Highlight • Viewpoint

Biresmore Loch or the Queens Loch is a short walk from Aboyne. A loop of the loch takes about 30 minutes. This point is an ideal spot to enjoy the view and perhaps go in for a paddle / swim.
