October 1, 2024,From Three Sisters Carpark to the Lost Valley
Brilliant, if strenuous, hike along a small gurgling stream to a surprise view across the Lost Valley. Picturesque views throughout.

Sure footedness definitely required. Parts of the path are rock-hewn steps. Others are sheer, but manageable, rock. Some steep drops along the path. Regular spots to take a rest without becoming an obstacle to other hikers.
We started our hike on a crisp morning at the car park at the foot of the impressive Three Sisters in Glencoe. The majestic mountains loomed before us and promised an exciting adventure. The clouds hung low over the peaks, giving the landscape a mystical atmosphere.

Scotland road trip day 2... day 1 we went to Bute and met some friends went on their boat and accidentally got smashed (when in Rome) so this was easing us into hiking en route through Glen Coe. Lovely walk and view 😍
A beautiful, but not entirely strenuous hike. Surefootedness and sturdy footwear are recommended.

Showing Translation

The Lost Valley is called that because the fled clan family members - who were not murdered in their sleep by their "guests with mod orders" who laughed, drank and ate with them for 12 days - fled here in the snow and ice.

Bring at least two 2L bottles of water per person.

No running water in the valley unless it rains.

Firewood is scarce due to multiple campers.

Always extinguish your fire, take your garbage with or burn it, never leave a fire unattended.

MUCH SUCCESS!!!!
