Schindturm

This observation tower was built by the Schweinfurt section of the Rhön Club in 1892. The Schindturm was originally much higher. The upper floor of the tower was made of wood and covered. There was an open observation platform on the roof, but this was demolished due to dilapidation.
Since June 2017, the Schindturm has been shining in new splendor. The Rotary Club Schweinfurt-Peterstirn renovated the tower in cooperation with the city of Schweinfurt and fitted it with a new roof.
