Dreibannstein (Dreimärker) Boundary Stone

Schwendeseppenhof Museum Storehouse

In order to save the Schwendseppenhof granary in Welschensteinach from decay, it was completely restored in 2001 using the old techniques. The masonry consists of quarry stones that were filled with clay. The basement ceiling was covered with clay wraps and the roof was covered with straw. This is how a real gem was created.
The fruit box from the 18th century is quite well preserved. It was added later, the memory itself is much older.
