The Three Locks, Grand Union Canal

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

We travelled approximately 1.5 miles along the Grand Union Canal (Lengt 137 miles from the Thames to Birmingham) starting from The Three Locks to the east. After a loop we returned and travelled another 0.8 miles coming from the west to The Three Locks for a pleasant walk, we also met cyclists and runners. Many boats moored, one more interesting than the other. Recommended for a light walk, run or just a dog walk.

A picturesque scene along the Grand Union Canal of three locks stacked behind one another. This is a great place to stop and admire the view, you may even be lucky enough to catch a canal boat passing through.

There is also a great pub along the path, The Three Locks, which is serving up daily doses of delicious food and drink.

A nice pub near Stoke Hammond and Soulbury that sits next the canal. Great food and very friendly staff. Lots of outside seating available and a bike rack out the front.
