Den Building Area

Highlight • Forest

A designated space crafted specifically for individuals to hone their den-building skills using the readily available logs and branches—a brilliant concept that offers a dedicated area for this creative activity. It's an ideal playground where children can delight in hours of imaginative play.

Lickey Hills Wooden Sculpture

Highlight • Structure

This particular sculpture was supposed to make up The Sculpture trail which had 7 (I think) sculptures created by local materials. Alas, I could only find two. The Le Creme de la creme would have been Iccurus, but it is nowhere to be found.

Bilberry Hill Viewpoint

Highlight • Forest

Bilberry Hill is one of the Lickey Hills southwest of Birmingham and northeast of Worcester.
Positioned above the village of Cofton Hackett, it’s an integral part of the Lickey Hills Country Park. As part of the Lickey Ridge, composed of hard quartzite this spot offers stunning views over Birmingham and the surrounding countryside.

The hill derives its name from the abundant tracts of Bilberry bushes (Vaccinium myrtillus) that occupy its slopes, providing locals with a tradition of harvesting their fruit each autumn for centuries to make jams, preserves, and delightful apple and bilberry pies.

Cofton Hill Trails

Highlight • Viewpoint

It's lovely and quiet during the evenings before sunset, well worth a walk at this time. Just be careful if it goes dark, as it is literally pitch black in the woods.
