Tauchweiler is always good for a stop... Where else can you get a large portion of schnitzel with spaetzle for €12.90???

If possible, cycle on quiet days, otherwise it might be too crowded and slow.

Wental Rock Sea

Highlight • Natural Monument

The Wental offers you a unique nature experience. Countless stone pillars and bizarre rock formations of limestone line up in the valley. They bear such impressive names as Felsenmeer, Wentalweible, Sphinx or Bischofshut. It is best if you take enough time to explore this unique place.

Wental

Highlight • Gorge

The Wental is always worth a trip, whether on foot or by bike! On the weekends when the weather is nice, however, you should expect a lot of hustle and bustle and crowds. If you're lucky, you might be able to find a place to stay somewhere. Otherwise, continue on to the dam, where it's a bit quieter.

Wentalweible Rock Formation

Highlight • Natural Monument

Spitz the Wentalweible towers as a rock tower in the sky. Legend has it that a notorious and stinging shopkeeper ran through the valley when suddenly a thunderstorm hit. When she looked up, she was struck by lightning and she turned into the stone pillar. Only in the night of November 30 to December 1, she still wails whining through the Wental.

August 11, 2022,Brenztopf – Felsenmeer und Wental Runde von Bartholomä
Starting point directly at the campsite in Bartholomä. Very nice tour on mostly paved or gravel bike paths. First a long, leisurely descent through the forest down to Königsbronn with the Brenztopf. Then Itzelberger See with refreshments. Then always in the valley of the Brenz to Heidenheim, there are many places to stop and make a detour to the castle. …

Showing Translation

Very idyllic and easy tour through the wental. The Felsenmeer is beautiful! Only the section through Heidenheim isn't that great.

Showing Translation

Nice round with some highlights. However, a lot in the forest, so very shady and therefore very cold at this time of the year. Would be better than summer tour. Very crowded on the weekends.

Showing Translation

The tour through the Wental was beautiful in the best weather.

Showing Translation

Very scenic tour with manageable ascent
