The Kamptal Cycle Path is much nicer and quieter than in the Wachau. Away from the main road, you can cycle along wonderful paths along the river. Recommended!

Perfect cycling weather, we're heading to Gars for the first time in ages. Obligatory stop at Ehrenberger. Even though it's officially a day off, they still serve coffee at the bakery, but you have to carry it to the beer garden yourself. If nothing else works 🙂
We're early enough, so we make a detour to the castle.

A super cool tour. Partly along the Kamptal Cycle Path, but also partly along parallel forest paths with plenty of flow. If there's little water, fording is possible, but otherwise—as is the case at the moment—get off your bike. Some of the crossings are 30-40 cm deep.

The tour is definitely worth a revival 🤪👍🌞
