Penycloddiau Summit

Highlight • Viewpoint

One of the principal summits of the Clwydian Range, Penycloddiau was once an extensive, 52-acre (21 ha) hill fort. Remains dating back around 4,000 years have been found here.

The summit is on the route of both the Offa's Dyke Path and the Clwydian Way long-distance trails and provides glorious views of the surrounding countryside. On a clear day, you can make out the distant mountains of Snowdonia in the west.

April 15, 2024,Coed Llangwyfan & Moel Arthur - Clwydian Range, Wales

Very blustery day in North Wales but well worth it for the views and Bronze Age burial site 🤩 we also came across a new born lamb on the hiking path.. assuming she'd become seperated from the herd and unable to walk uphill my friend returned her to the flock.. a special moment to see the mother come running over …

January 18, 2025,We got a new dog 🙈and this was her first hike “Cookie” was amazing (Moel Arthur)

There was a lot of mud and cow poop 💩 but we all had a great walk in this beautiful area. (car windows open on the way home 🦨💩)
