After being decommissioned in 1982, the locomotive served as a spare parts donor for the Tp4-148 (55 3052), which was still used for special trips.

It wasn't until 1992 that the locomotive was overhauled and placed next to the railway line in Pyskowice as a memorial locomotive.

In the spring of 2009, the memorial locomotive received a new paint job. On September 30, 2019, the locomotive was transported to Świeradów-Zdrój (Bad Flinsberg) and placed there as a memorial locomotive on the former station grounds.
