The part of the castle park on this side of the moat that is open to visitors invites you to linger and observe nature. The avenue of lime trees, consisting of 110 small-leaved lime trees and one small-leaved tree, is particularly impressive. The park is maintained according to ecological aspects. Unfortunately, the nearby lignite mine in Frechen poses major problems for the park and the building fabric of Schloss Türnich due to the associated lowering of the groundwater level.
