Continuously upwards - the slope rises halfway through the driveway. Then it subsides again before it gets steep again shortly before the end. Divide power!

Like the Blindsee, the Weissensee is a beautiful, hidden lake located directly on the busy Fernpass. The shore path is a wide, easy gravel road. Swimming, boating, and SUPs are not permitted.

The easy trail literally "sticks" to the steep valley slopes, even leading along a kind of wooden balcony. Of course, this also results in beautiful deep views of the valley and in particular of the Fernsteinsee.

July 13, 2026,Marienberg-Alm auf den Spuren Transalp und Via Claudia 🚲☀️😎📷
A very varied and strenuous round with great panoramic views. The climbs with the e-bike and 17-19% were tougher than expected, as the rear wheel had hardly any grip on the gravel.
Some sections ran along the Via Claudia.
Grandiose views and great trails were the reward for the effort 🙏🚲☀️😎📷

I had been planning this route for a while... It's quite steep to the Marienberg Alm, it's good that there's a section where you can relax a bit 😄 The view at the Marienbergjoch is just beautiful. I rode down the new Marienberg trail, but after the first section I switched back to the normal path, it wasn't really my …

I've wanted to do that for a long time. From the Mieminger Plateau up to the Marienbergjoch and on the other side to Biberwier down the S2/3 trail, it's called the Barbarasteig. Today, with the beautiful autumn weather, it worked out. The climb to the Marienbergalm has steep sections, but it's quite easy. It only gets nasty on the last …

you could also go the other way around, but I think the tour is better in this direction. It is also possible to start from any point on the lap. Not very difficult, scenic but beautiful round

Today a training round for the next Transalp now in September

Today you should pedal again yourself. So it made sense to tackle the so-called “Wannig-Runde”, which is initially oriented partly along the historic Via Claudia Augusta, which already seemed exciting to us because of historical interest and is also illustrated with some interesting information boards along the way. There are also rare "Spirken" - (mountain pines, almost tall mountain pines!) …

Unfortunately, the MTB trail from the Sunnalm down to Biberwier is still not quite finished. The Barbara-Steig (S3) is a great alternative for good trail riders.
